Mode 2
The following application buffer contents are used in mode 2:
•
MCW

Packet type
°
D, Q, and M bits as required
•
Remainder of packet when appropriate
Valid Packet Types for Mode 2
PTP cannot write some packet types, but it can read them. If the application process
attempts to write one of these buffer structures, the result is error 179 (application
buffer incorrect). The following packets can only be read by the application process:

Receive Ready
•
Receive Not Ready
•
Interrupt Confirmation
•
Reset Confirmation
•
Clear Confirmation
•
Restart Request
•
Restart Confirmation
