In VTCs, all domains allowed to access the VTC must be registered in this list.
The Domain Address page allows the user to create, edit, or delete a domain address.
See more details in the Client UI Installation manual
.
Stand Alone Load
The Stand Alone Load is reserved for cases where the Domain Manager is not available
and a virtual volume must be loaded:
When a NonStop server is cold loaded from a SIT virtual tape.
When the Domain Manager is not operational because the BackPak catalog
(Guardian files VOLUME*) is not available.
The files VOLUME* might be backed up by BACKUP or TMF on virtual volumes.
The virtual volumes needed to restore the VOLUME* files must then be loaded
without the help of the Domain Manager through this Stand Alone Load.
Some restrictions apply:
The user must run the BackPak GUI in the VT Controller that emulates the tape
drive for the targeted NonStop server.
This is a low-level tool requiring the user to enter all configuration information:
the internal virtual drive address and details about the virtual volume storage
(ex: name of the disk files of a virtual volume in a Windows Data Store).
The volume will always be loaded in Read-Only mode.
Encrypted volumes cannot be used.
The page layout varies depending on the selected Data Store Type. Elements displayed
in the “Stand Alone Load” paragraph are common.
