Version: Read-only element showing the version of the BackPak NonStop
component, that can be retrieved in a different format by the TACL command
VPROC BBSV. The major version 04 and minor version 00 are split in the
VPROC:
Version procedure: T9999V04_16DEC2013_BPAKETI_00
Release: Read-only element showing the release date of the BackPak NonStop
component, also visible in the VPROC output.
EMS Collector: Guardian process name for the destination of the EMS log
messages.
If the process name is not qualified by an NSK node name (ex: $0):
The Collector process must run on all NSK nodes that have a virtual device
configured.
When an event is related to a specific NSK node, the Domain Manager will send
EMS messages only to the NSK node involved.
General messages are sent to the NSK node running the Domain Manager.
If the EMS collector is qualified by an NSK node name (i.e. \NODE1.$0):
All messages will be sent to this node.
Alerts Setup: Link to the EMS Alerts configuration page.
EMS Verbose: When checked, more EMS messages are issued. This should be
checked when virtual tape drives are installed or configured. EMS verbose is
particularly checked to get more information on the processing of pre-load.
Utilities Log: Output of the NonStop utilities run to query the NonStop system
(mainly CLIMCMD). This is a typically a process name or a spooler location. By
default, $NULL is used - and the $NULL process is assumed to be started on
each NonStop system the BakPak Domain will manage virtual tape devices on.
For troubleshooting query problems, the output can be momentarily redirected
to any valid collector. If not qualified, the process is used on the node where the
query is performed.
Trace Level: The trace may be requested by ETI-NET support personnel to
troubleshoot problems; zero for no trace (off), 1 to activate the trace on the
Domain Manager.
Note: This is reserved for use by ETI-NET. The trace creates a lot of NSK files and may
cause performance degradation.
Trace Sub Volume: Valid Guardian Disk and Sub volume where the trace files
and some temporary files will be created (Be sure to dedicate a sub volume for
traces and temporary files, see Trace Level above).
VT Controller Timeout: Maximum waiting time (in seconds) the Domain
Manager waits for a response from a VTC before a timeout.
Stats File name: Guardian name of the BackBox statistics file. The file will be
created if required. The following wild-cards can be used to change the file name
according to the start of the data collection.
