VT Controller
The VT Controller tabbed page contains the VTC configuration. The essential
configuration of a VTC entity is:
- Its TCPIP address that allows to reach it to send commands
- The definition of operational tape drives, obtained by connecting the
definitions known in the VTC and the definitions known in the NonStop host
by SCF and CLIMCMD queries. The VTC and host definitions are pre-
required, and the VTC must be functional and its virtual tapes must be
connected to allow them to be configured in the domain.
The initial view shows the list of existing VTCs. If “Switch to Edit mode” link has been
clicked, the button “Create VT Controller” and link “Delete” are available.
The regular properties of a VTC are displayed below the list of VTCs when its “VT
Controller ID” is clicked, sample: TINTIN. The link “Advanced” shows optional additional
properties that are presented at the end of this section.
