Storage Routes
This section defines the routes to data, i.e. it lists the VTCs that are connected to
the storage.
Rank: Indicates the route priority. The highest priority is 1. See “Virtual volume
mounts”, "Assign a tape device” section for description.
VT Controller ID: Identifies the VTC connected to the selected Data Store.

Restore on same VTC: When checked and the TAPE DEFINE set for restore
(USE IN) does not specify a tape device, the volume will preferably be read from
a device on the same VTC on which it was written initially. This can improve the
performance in some configurations.
For example in a Windows file Data Store where each VTC provides local disks
for storage the Force Local Path, if checked, means that at restore time, the
VTC that has written the file on a local disk will be preferred to one that that has
to access the Data Store through a share drive.
Disk Block Size (KBytes): While writing a Windows disk file, the VTC prepares
large buffers to minimize the number of IO’s sent to the file system. Increasing
the default value might improve the throughput, especially when there are
several tape volumes being written concurrently on the same disk.
Force local path: Checking this box changes the regular algorithm used to
choose a path when a virtual volume file is re-created for a volume mount
