request. Only local disks will be considerate as candidate as destination path.
Load request is rejected if there is not enough space on local path – even if
there is enough space on remote path.
Scripting: Optionally specify a Windows command files to be executed following
specific tape events. Refer to the section Scripting/Background Migration on
Tapes
Backup script: Command file to be executed after a volume unload.
Restore script: Command file to be executed at a volume load, when a
virtual media cannot be found on the Data Store.
Delete script: Command file to be executed after a volume is deleted.
Post Restore Script: Command file to be executed after a volume,
requiring the RESTORE script and mounted for input (USE IN) has been
unloaded.
Script parameters: Optional user-defined named parameters that will be
passed to the scripts.
Up to ten parameters can be entered in the domain configuration. These
parameters will be passed as Windows environment variables to the shell
executing the script, in addition to the parameters generated by the VTC to
identify the files to process in the script.
Name: Name of the parameter. Do not specify the % sign around the name.
Value: Value of the parameter.
Volume Group
The Volume Group page is used to define attributes common to a group of volumes.
These attributes are used and applied at volume creation, and each time a volume is re-
written with a new backup.
The initial view shows the list of existing Volume Groups. If “Switch to Edit mode” link is
clicked, the buttons “Create Volume Group” and link “Delete” are available. The link
“Advanced Properties” shows additional parameters whose default values are acceptable
for usual and simple setups.
