INFO PATH Command
has congestion control enabled and the receiver supports it. The receiver does not
have to have the congestion control feature enabled to support it.
L4CWNDCLAMP
Specifies the maximum value for the congestion control transmit window. The
packet rate transmitted over the path does not exceed the L4CWNDCLAMP value.
Exp
and uses a window scale factor of 5, for packet sequencing and window
values. To calculate the L4CWNDCLAMP value, use the following formula:
L4CWNDCLAMP = <Congestion_window_size_in_Bytes> / 32
Where,
<Congestion_window_size_in_Bytes> is size of the congestion
window
To calculate the size of the congestion window
, use the following formula:
<Congestion_window_size_in_Bytes> = bandwidth * delay
Where,
<Congestion_window_size_in_Bytes> is the maximum amount of
data on the network circuit in bits. (bandwidth delay product)
bandwidth is the capacity of the data link in bits per second
delay is the end-to-end delay in seconds (round trip time).
You can use the bandwidth delay product (BDP) to calculate the maximum amount
of data that can be in transit in the network. It is used to tune systems to the type of
network being used. If given the actual data link speed and delay on the network,
the network capacity can be calculated. Conversely, If you want to limit the amount
of data sent, it can be used to calculate the maximum value to limit or clamp the
window.
For more information, see L4CWNDCLAMP n on page 16-13.
Superpath
reports ON if the path is configured to be a member of a multi-CPU p
ath and OFF if
it is not. The Expand line-handler process at the other end of the path must be
configured with SUPERPATH_ON or the multi-CPU path feature will not be
enabled. You can display the current setting of the SUPERPATH attribute using the
STATUS PATH command.
PathBlockBytes
shows the multipacket frame parameters for these four fields:
Local Curre
ntly configured local value
Remote M
ost recent value from the remote path
