Verifying the Type 4 Driver
Installation Requirements
Hardware and software requirements for the Type 4 driver are described in the softdoc file delivered with
the product, either on the product CD or on the website for Scout for NonStop Servers at HP NonStop
eServices portal (https://onepoint.nonstop.compaq.com/). Read that document before installing the
product.
The Type 4 driver requires the following to be installed on the NonStop system:
NonStop SQL/MX Release 2.0 or subsequent 2.x Releases

NonStop MXCS Release 2.0 or subsequent 2.x Releases●
The Type 4 driver requires the following to be installed in the client environment:
JDK 1.4.2 or later

Note: For the most current statement of the software requirements, see the Softdoc file for the list of
earliest acceptable versions of the required software. You can substitute later versions of the
same products.
Product Files
The JDBC Type 4 client component is delivered as an independent product either on the product CD or
on the website for Scout for NonStop Servers at HP NonStop eServices portal
(https://onepoint.nonstop.compaq.com/). The product contains the following files and directories.
