Cooling Airflow Direction
Each enclosure includes its own forced-air cooling fans or blowers. Air flow for each enclosure
enters from the front of the cabinet and rack and exhausts at the rear.
Floor Space Requirements, 36U and 42U Commercial Grade Cabinets
All commercial grade cabinets have small casters to facilitate moving them on hard flooring from
the unpacking area to the site. Because of these small casters, rolling commercial grade cabinets
along carpeted or tiled pathways might be difficult. If necessary, plan for a temporary hard floor
covering in affected pathways for easier movement of the equipment.
The 36U and 42U commercial grade cabinets have these floor space requirements to allow
adequate room to service the installed components:

Commercial Grade Cabinets and Raised Floors
For raised flooring, the design of the commercial grade cabinet for the NonStop NS2200T system
is optimized for placement on 24-inch floor panels.
Stabilization Requirements for Commercial Grade Cabinets
Commercial grade cabinets are not designed to be bolted to the floor. Stability is addressed through
the use of leveling feet, baying kits or baying plates, and fixed stabilizers. Fixed stabilizers are
anti-tip feet (front and side) that provide stability and support when equipment is installed, removed
or accessed within the rack.
You must use fixed stabilizers when there are three or fewer cabinets bayed together:
The HP 10000 Stabilizer Kit includes installation instructions and front and side anti-tip feet.
If multiple cabinets are secured together with baying kits or baying plates, HP recommends
but does not require that you install the side feet at each end of the row.
Cabinets of different heights cannot be bayed together.
