NonStop NS2400 Series Planning Guide

If you are installing a single-cabinet row, you must install both the front and the side anti-tip
feet.
The use of anti-tip feet does not affect the service clearances required for the cabinet.

NOTE: 36U and 42U Intelligent racks can be used for NonStop NS2400 and NS2400T systems,
but not for NonStop NS2400ST systems. 36U and 42U G2 racks can coexist with 36U and 42U
Intelligent racks in NonStop NS2400 and NS2400T systems.
Use baying kits to bay G2 racks to G2 racks of the same height or Intelligent racks to Intelligent
racks of the same height. Use baying plates to bay Intelligent racks to G2 racks of the same height.
In all cases, a rack cannot be bayed with another rack of a different height.
Commercial Grade Cabinet Ground Connections
The site building must provide a power distribution safety ground/protective earth for all NonStop
system equipment. This safety grounding system must comply with local codes and any other
applicable regulations for the installation locale. For detailed information about grounding the
cabinet, ask your HP service provider to refer to the NonStop NS2200 Series and NS2400 Series
Hardware Installation Manual.
Intracabinet Grounding for Commercial Grade Cabinets
A commercial grade cabinet has grounding points located throughout the cabinet. Ground cables
are green with a yellow stripe and are used to connect an enclosure to the cabinet grounding rail.
For detailed information about intracabinet grounding and ground connections, ask your HP service
provider to refer to the NonStop NS2200 Series and NS2400 Series Hardware Installation Manual.
