DAT Tape Unit Ground Connections
The 160 DAT unit requires a separate ground connection from the enclosure to the cabinet grounding
rail. For detailed information about connecting the ground cables, ask your HP service provider
to refer to the NonStop NS2200 Series and NS2400 Series Hardware Installation Manual.

CG Maintenance Switch Ground Connections
The CG maintenance switch has a threaded post located to the right of the DC input terminal block.
A ground cable connects from this grounding post to the nearest cabinet grounding rail. For detailed
information about connecting the ground cables, ask your HP service provider to refer to the
NonStop NS2200 Series and NS2400 Series Hardware Installation Manual.
Data Cables
The enclosures in this system are suitable for connection to intrabuilding or non-exposed wiring or
cabling only. Unshielded, twisted-pair (UTP) cables may be used for both NEBS™ and non-NEBS
installations.
Seismic Cabinet and Enclosure Weights Worksheet
The total weight of each cabinet is the sum the weight of the cabinet plus each enclosure installed
in it. All weights are approximate. Use this worksheet in Table 11 (page 143) to calculate the weight.
Because this worksheet list both types of seismic racks, you should cross out the one that does not
apply and not include it in your calculations.
