Modular Single-Phase PDUs (North America and Japan Only)
The NonStop NS2400 cabinet can contain up to 4 single-phase modular power distribution units
(PDUs). On systems with a UPS, two modular PDUs are used. On systems without a UPS, four
modular PDUs are used.
Each modular PDU supports two extension bars, with each extension bar containing seven C13
receptacles. A total of eight extension bars are mounted on the rear of the cabinet (four on the left
and four on the right). If a single-phase UPS is used, the four extension bars on the left are connected
to the UPS instead of two modular PDUs.

PDUs for NonStop NS2400 Series System Three-Phase Power Configurations in G2
Racks
Two power distribution units (PDUs) are installed to provide redundant power outlets for the
components mounted in the modular cabinet. The PDUs are oriented inward, facing the components
within the rack. Each PDU is 60 inches long and has 39 AC receptacles, three circuit breakers,
and an AC power cord. The PDU is oriented with the AC power cord exiting the modular cabinet
at either the top or bottom rear corners of the cabinet, depending on the site's power feed needs.

Each three-phase PDU in a modular cabinet has:
• 36 AC receptacles per PDU (12 per segment) - IEC 320 C13 10A receptacle type
• 3 AC receptacles per PDU (1 per segment) - IEC 320 C19 16A receptacle type
• 3 circuit-breakers
These three-phase PDU options are available to receive power from the site AC power source:
• 200V to 240V AC, three-phase delta for North America and Japan
• 380V to 415V AC, three-phase wye for International
Each PDU distributes site three-phase power to 39 single-phase 200 to 240V AC outlets for
connecting the power cords from the components mounted in the modular cabinet.
AC Power Feeds for NonStop NS2400 Series Systems in G2 Racks
Power can enter the NonStop NS2400 series system from either the top or the bottom rear of the
modular cabinets, depending on how the cabinets are ordered from HP and how the AC power
feeds are routed at the site. NonStop NS2400 series system cabinets can be ordered with the AC
power cords for the PDU installed either:
• Top: Power and I/O cables are routed from above the modular cabinet.
• Bottom: Power and I/O cables are routed from below the modular cabinet.
