NonStop NS2400 Series Planning Guide
voltage of AC power at the intended installation site for the system. For information on the PDUs
supported for a NonStop NS2400 series system, see “AC Input Power for Modular Cabinets”
(page 67).
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
A NonStop NS2400 series system can use the HP model R5000 UPS for a single-phase power
configuration or the HP model R12000/3 UPS for a three-phase power configuration. An extended
run-time module (ERM) can be combined with either UPS to extend battery time.
AC Input Power for Modular Cabinets
This subsection provides information about AC input power for NonStop NS2400 modular cabinets.
• Table 2 (page 67) contains the single-phase power specifications for the power components
used in North America and Japan.
• Table 3 (page 68) contains the three-phase power specifications for the power components
used in North America and Japan.
• Table 4 (page 68) contains the single-phase power specifications for the power components
used in international installations.
• Table 5 (page 68) contains the three-phase power specifications for the power components
used in international installations.
CAUTION: Be sure the hardware configuration and resultant power loads of each cabinet within
the system do not exceed the capacity of the branch circuit according to applicable electrical codes
and regulations.
Select circuit breaker ratings according to local codes and any applicable regulations for the circuit
capacity. Note that circuit breaker ratings vary if your system includes an optional rack-mounted
UPS.
