3 - 48
Running the FASTKCUT Utility Program
complete. Any FASTPTCP process attempting to access the record during this
interval will be temporarily suspended. However, because this interval is
usually less than a second, in most cases this is transparent. After a new
record is added, the record is immediately available to any FASTPTCP
process.
SAVE kcon-file,cnfg-file
creates a new FASTCNFG file or erases and writes over an existing
FASTCNFG using device information from an existing FASTKCON file. The
resulting FASTCNFG file is suitable for use in subsequent FASTKCUT
CREATE and UPDATE commands and can be edited like any other
FASTCNFG file.
kcon-file
specifies an existing key-sequenced FASTKCON file. If the specified
FASTKCON file is $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.FASTKCON, an asterisk (*) can be
used in place of the complete file name.
cnfg-file
specifies the name to be assigned to the new FASTCNFG file to be
created or the name of an existing FASTCNFG file to be overwritten. If the
specified FASTCNFG file is $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.FASTCNFG, an asterisk
(*) can be used in place of the complete file name.
If cnfg-file does not exist, it will be created as an EDIT file (file type
101). If cnfg-file already exists, it must be an EDIT file (file type 101).
The SAVE command has no impact on printer operation because no changes
are made to the FASTKCON file and no records are locked.
LIST kcon-file
lists all the records in the specified FASTKCON file.
kcon-file
specifies an existing FASTKC
ON file. If the specified FASTKCON file is
$SYSTEM.SYSTEM.FASTKCON, an asterisk (*) can be used in place of
the complete file name.
The LIST command has no impact on printer operation because no changes
are made to the F
ASTKCON file and no records are locked.
