Spooler Configuration Considerations for
FASTPSMB
The Spooler configuration tasks required for any FASTP network print process are also
required for the FASTPSMB print process. However, special consideration should be
given to the following aspects of these configuration tasks for the FASTPSMB
configuration:

Device subtype
•
Some device attributes

Device Subtype
Device subtype information is specified with the Spoolcom DEV DEVTYPE command.
Table 4-1 summarizes device type and subtype information relevant to FASTPSMB
print queue configuration. If a device subtype is not specified, the default printer
subtype is LU1.
