FASTCNFG DEVICE Configuration for FASTPSMB
Figure 4-1 shows the components of a LAN path name.
The PATH specification is mandatory.
RESOURCE = #resource-name
specifies the subdevice component of an object name used by the IOP to identify
the user’s LAN. The object name is associated with the object type specified by the
optional attribute TYPE (the default TYPE value is DOMAIN).
For NonStop NBT and NonStop NBX, the resource name is the domain name
configured in NBT or NBX.
For TLAM (D-series only), the object type and object name are typically configured
with SCF as part of TLAM and Multilan configuration.
The RESOURCE specification is mandatory.
Table
4-3 shows examples of subdevice names for DOMAIN, GATEWAY, and POOL
objects. A fully qualified object name has the format \node.$lan-
name.#subdevice-name. where\node is the same node assumed for the
DEVICE attribute and $lan-name is the name specified for the LAN attribute.
