Device Attributes
#qualifier
specifies the device-name qualifier. The qualifier consists of a pound sign (#)
followed by one to seven alphanumeric characters; the first alphanumeric
character must be a letter. The device-name qualifier is optional, unless more than
one print queue is being defined for a device-name. Each qualifier specified for a
device-name must be unique.
Device Attributes
Spooler device attributes specify printing options for devices (in this case NetWare
print queues.) Device attribute information is specified with the Spoolcom DEV
command. For a complete listing of the Spooler device attributes supported by all the
FASTP network print processes, see Table 2-3, Spooler Device Attributes and Their
Effect on FASTP Network Printers, on page 2-7.
Table 5-1 lists the Spooler device attributes that have special considerations for
FASTPNOV and describes their effect on NetWare print queues.

Attribute Effect on NetWare Print Queues
ALIGN Attribute not supported for NetWare print queues. If this attribute is
set, the
status of the Spooler device is set to OFFLINE and jobs
cannot be sent to the print queue.
DEVRESET Attribute not applicable to NetWare print queues.
DEVTYPE The default device subtype for FASTPNOV is LU1.
EXCLUSIVE Indicates when a FASTPNOV print process should log on to and log
of
f from a NetWare print queue, not when a FASTPNOV print
process should open and close a device. This attribute affects log
on/log off (print queues) and session closing.
FORM Specifies the form to be used.
The form is defined on the NetWare LAN.
The form name cannot exceed 16 characters.
The form name must begin with a letter.
The default form (that is, when no form is specified) is the default
form defined f
or the NetWare print queue on the NetWare LAN.
HEADER Note that although the HEADER attribute works the same as for any
oth
er Spooler printer, the NetWare header can also be turned on and
off in the FASTCNFG file.
LUEOLVALUE Attribute not supported for NetWare print queues.
