proc-name
is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.
file-err
is the file-system error returned by the Guardian OPEN procedure. See the
Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for explanations of file-system
errors.
supervisor
is the name of the Spooler supervisor process.
Cause. Because FASTPTCP processes are started automatically by the Spooler
supervisor using the name configured with Spoolcom PRINT, this message can only
occur when the FASTPTCP process has been improperly started. The most likely
cause is the TACL RUN command was inadvertently used.
Effect. The FASTPTCP process stops.
Recovery. Do not use TACL RUN commands for FASTPTCP processes; use the
normal Spooler mechanism as described in Configuring a FASTP Network Print
Process on page 2-4. If the error persists, contact your service provider as described in
Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems on page 8-1.
