Spooler FASTP Network Print Processes Manual 427528-007

FASTPTCP Event Messages
Cause. The FASTPTCP process encountered a TCP/IP socket error. This message is
usually accompanied by another message; refer to the documentation for that
message for details.
Effect. Varies based on the operation and error. Possible effects include the following:
The job might have printed partially or not at all.
The print might be requeued to the Spooler.
The Spooler device might be placed offline.
Recovery. Varies based on the operation and error. Possible recovery actions include
the following:
Correct the network error.
Ensure the device is online and is not out of paper.
Restart the Spooler device. (Depending on the device configuration, the device
might restart automatically.)

is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
Cause. The FASTPTCP process could not connect to the remote device after 60
consecutive attempts.
Effect. None; this message is informational only
. The FASTPTCP process continues
to attempt to complete a connection.
Recovery. If the message persists, verify the following:
The ADDRESS parameter matches the IP address of the remote device.
An operational network path to the device exists.
The device is online and properly configured.
