Cause. The FASTP network print process encountered an unexpected error when
posting a Guardian WRITEX procedure to the specified device. Normally I/O errors that
are the result of external problems generate an I/O error when the I/O completes using
the AWAITIO procedure. An error when posting the I/O might indicate an internal
problem.
Effect. The device is placed offline.
Recovery. If the error persists, contact your service provider as described in
Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems on page 8-1.

is the process number (CPU, PIN) of the process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
file-err
is the file-system error returned. See the Guardian Procedure Errors and
Messages Manual for explanations of file-system errors.
cnfg-file
is the name of the FASTCNFG or F
ASTKCON file.
Cause. A file-system error occurred on a read of the specified FASTCNFG or
FASTKCON file.
Effect. No printing occurs, the Spooler job is requeued, and the Spooler device is
placed offline.
Recovery. Verify that the FASTCNFG or FASTKCON file exists and has correct
information. If the error persists, contact your service provider as described in
Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems on page 8-1.
