Recovery. Correct the error in the FASTCNFG file. Note that the value of the
Spoolcom DEV EXCLUSIVE attribute can affect whether changes to the FASTCNFG
file are read. The FASTP network print process reads the updated FASTCNFG file
before it sends a job to the device if the device has the Spoolcom DEV EXCLUSIVE
attribute set to EXCLUSIVE OFF (the default). If the device has the EXCLUSIVE
attribute set to EXCLUSIVE ON, the attribute must be changed to EXCLUSIVE OFF! to
force the FASTP network print process to read the updated FASTCNFG file. For more
about the effect of the EXCLUSIVE attribute on the FASTCNFG file, see FASTCNFG
File Alteration on page 2-19.

Reporting Problems on page 8-1.

is the process number (CPU, PIN) of the process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
Cause. This message applies to FASTPXNS only. FASTPXNS received an illegal
answer to an XNS Courier request. Courier is a protocol used to establish the
environment before printing and after printing.
Effect. The device is placed offline. A subsequent message identifies the actual
operation that failed.
Recovery. If the error persists, contact your service provider as described in
Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems on page 8-1.
