proc-num
is the process number (CPU, PIN) of the process.
device-name
is the Spooler device name.
file-err
is the file-system error returned. See the Guardian Procedure Errors and
Messages Manual for explanations of file-system errors.
netware-error
is an error returned from the NetWare LAN. If a value of 0 is returned, a file-system
error has occurred. Any other value indicates a NetWare error.
This error applies to FASTPNOV only. The cause, effect, and recovery vary based on
the NetWare error returned as follows:
NetWare Error=0
Cause. A file-system error has occurred.
Effect. The effect depends on which file-system error occurred. See the Guardian
Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for explanations of file-system errors.
Recovery. See the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for recovery
actions for file-system errors.
NetWare Error=Hex 00210030, Hex 002100D1, Hex 002100D3, Hex 002100D5,
Hex 002100F5, or Hex 002100FF
Cause. The NetWare file server print queue job is in an error st
ate.
Effect. FASTPNOV puts any devices representing print queues for the NetWare file
server offline.
Recovery. Restart the Spooler device. (Depending on the device configuration, the
device might restart automatically.)
NetWare Error=Hex 002100D7
Cause. The NetWare file server print queue is servicing a job.
Effect. FASTPNOV continues attempting to log on to the NetW
are file server for the
number of retries and the retry interval specified in the FASTCNFG file.
