mmm
is the contents of the diagnostic field in the X.25 clear request packet.
Cause. This message applies to FASTPX25 only. An X.25 clear request packet was
received. This error is only recorded when bit 2 (%20000) of the PARM attribute of the
Spoolcom DEV command is set.
Effect. Clear request packets are translated into error 140 (circuit disconnect) before
the Spooler supervisor is informed of the error. The supervisor considers error 140 to
be a retryable error and directs FASTPX25 to retry the printing operation at the interval
configured by the Spoolcom DEV RETRY value. As a default, FASTPXNS attempts to
reprint the job at the last known correctly printed page. As a result, FASTPX25 might
reprint certain pages.
Recovery. Under normal circumstances, no operator intervention is required.
However, you can modify the supervisor’s response to this error by means of the
RECOVERY attribute in the FASTCNFG file. The default value is NORMAL, which
results in the behavior described above. If you set this attribute to REPRINT,
FASTPX25 returns to the first page of the job when printing is resumed.
