Batch Jobs
Using the Spoolcom BATCH Command to Manage Batch Jobs
You can alter attributes and change the STATUS of any batch job by using the
Spoolcom BATCH command and subcommands.
Table 2-12 lists the BATCH subcommands and describes their effect on FASTP
network printers. Note that some BATCH subcommands have special considerations
when used with a specific version of the F
ASTP network print process. These
considerations are described in the product-specific sections of this manual.
HOLD-AFTER Places the job in the hold state after it finishes printing. The effect of
HOLDAFTER is the same as that of any other Spooler printer within the
Spooler subsystem. This parameter is not transmitted to the print process.
LOC Specifies a new location for the job. The effect of LOC is the same as that
of
any other Spooler printer within the Spooler subsystem. This parameter
is not transmitted to the print process.
OWNER Designates a new owner of the job. In most instances, the effect of
OWNER is the
same as that of any other Spooler printer, but the effect can
vary based on the specific FASTP network print process being
implemented. See the product-specific sections of this manual for any
special considerations that might apply. This parameter is not transmitted
to the print process.
REPORT Changes the report name for the job. In most instances, the effect of
REPOR
T is the same as that of any other Spooler printer, but the effect
can vary based on the specific FASTP network print process being
implemented. See the product-specific sections of this manual for any
special considerations that might apply. This parameter is not transmitted
to the print process.
SELPRI Specifies the selection priority of the job. The effect of SELPRI is the same
as that
of any other Spooler printer within the Spooler subsystem. This
parameter is not transmitted to the print process.
START Places the job in the ready state. The effect of START is the same as that
of
any other Spooler printer within the Spooler subsystem. This parameter
is not transmitted to the print process.
STATUS
Displays the status of the job. The effect of STATUS is the same as that of
any other Spooler printer within the Spooler subsystem. This parameter is
not transmitted to the print process.
