Operations Performed on an SQL Program File
Operations Performed on an SQL Program File
In Section 8, “Program Invalidation and Automatic Recompilation,” of the SQL/MP
Programming Manual for COBOL, these bulleted items should refer to the native mode
linkers and the OCA:
Binding or linking a program file. If you explicitly bind a program file by using the
Binder or link a program file by using the nld, ld, or eld utility, the original file is
unaffected, but the resulting target file is invalid.
Running the Accelerator or the OCA on a program file. If you run the Accelerator or
OCA to optimize the object code, the program file becomes invalid.
Guidelines for Memory Use
This subsection in Appendix B, “Memory Considerations,” of the SQL/MP
Programming Manual for COBOL should state that the system allocates real memory
in 16 KB pages (not 2 KB pages) for both TNS/R and TNS/E systems.
