Post-Installation Tasks
To display the version information about executable files in the OSS environment,
enter:
vproc executable-file-name
To display version information about executable files in the Guardian environment,
enter:
VPROC executable-file-name
For example, to find the version of MXCMP installed, at a TACL prompt, enter:
VPROC $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.MXCMP
You will see something similar to:
VPROC - T9617H01 - (01 OCT 2004) SYSTEM \YOSQA36 Date 06 OCT 2005, 16:03:18

To make sure that the displayed version information for an executable is correct for the
SUT, check the version procedure text. For example, in this VPROC display for MXCMP,
the “H21” in S0200H21 and T1050H21 is a reliable indicator that the correct version of
MXCMP for SQL/MX Release 2.1 has been installed from the H06.04 or later H-series
RVU. For SQL/MX Release 2.2, “H22” would be the reliable indicator and for SQL/MX
Release 2.3, “H23” would be the reliable indicator.
