Server Class Objects
A server class, which is a group of server processes that
perform a specific type of work. All processes within a server

class run copies of the same server program. A server class
can contain either Guardian processes or HP NonStop Open
System Services (OSS) processes, but not both.
An ASSIGN associated with a server class. This object allows
you to assign a logical file name associated with a physical
ZPWY-OBJ-SCASSIGN
file to a server program. This object type is the same as the
ASSIGN parameter in PATHCOM SERVER object commands.
A DEFINE associated with a server class. This object type is
the same as the DEFINE parameter in the PATHCOM SERVER
object commands.
ZPWY-OBJ-SCDEFINE
A LINKMON process linked to a server class.ZPWY-OBJ-SCLM
A PARAM associated with a server class. This object allows
you to assign a string value to a server parameter name. This
ZPWY-OBJ-SCPARAM
object type is the same as the PARAM parameter in the
PATHCOM SERVER object commands.
A process associated with a server class. This object type is
the same as the PROCESS parameter in the PATHCOM SERVER
object commands.
ZPWY-OBJ-SCPROCESS
A startup string associated with a server class. This object
allows you to associate a startup parameter with a particular
ZPWY-OBJ-SCSTARTUP
server class. This object type is the same as the STARTUP
parameter in the PATHCOM SERVER object commands.
Figure 7 (page 34) contains a table listing the valid objects for each command. Commands that
affect TS/MP objects are described in this manual. Commands that affect Pathway/iTS objects
are described in the Pathway/iTS Management Programming Manual.
NOTE: You cannot use commands on Pathway/iTS objects unless a licensed copy of the
Pathway/iTS product exists on the system.
