TS/MP 2.5 Management Programming Manual
is the maximum number of PARAM messages that you can specify across all server
classes in the PATHMON environment. A single PARAM message exists for each
server class that contains one or more individual PARAMs. This field has the same
meaning as the MAXPARAMS parameter in the PATHCOM SET PATHWAY command.
ZMAXPARAMS must be a number from 0 to 4095.
This is a required field; no default.
This attribute sets the limit on the number of PARAM definitions you can specify for
Pathway subsystem server classes with the ADD SCPARAM (or PATHCOM SET
SERVER PARAM) command. Because each PARAM message for a server class
counts as one toward this limit, the number for this attribute not exceed the value
of MAXSERVERCLASSES.
ZMAXPATHCOMS
is the maximum number of PATHCOM processes that can run simultaneously within
a Pathway subsystem.
The value must be a number from 1 to 100. If no value is assigned to this field,
then the default is 5. For other limits, see “Configuration Limits and Defaults”
(page 372).
Until a Pathway subsystem is started, only one PATHCOM or SPI process at a time
can open communication with the PATHMON process.
ZMAXPROGRAMS
this field applies only to Pathway/iTS; a complete description is given in the
Pathway/iTS Management Programming Manual. If you do not have Pathway/iTS
installed, then HP recommends setting this value to zero, which is the default value.
ZMAXSERVERCLASSES
is the maximum number of server class descriptions you can add to the PATHMON
configuration file.
The value must be a number from 0 to 4095. To enable the PATHMON process to
run the equivalent of a PATHCOM ALTER SERVER command, specify a maximum
of 4094 for this attribute.
This is a required field; no default.
ZMAXSERVERPROCESSES
is the maximum number of server processes you can define for all server classes.
The value must be a number from 0 to 4095. To enable the PATHMON process to
run the equivalent of a PATHCOM ALTER SERVER MAXSERVERS command, specify
a maximum of 4094 for this attribute.
The combined values for ZMAXSERVERS in ZPWY-MAP-DEF-SC (or MAXSERVERS
in the PATHCOM SERVER definition) for all server classes is limited to the value of
ZMAXSERVERPROCESSES.
This is a required field; no default.
ZMAXSPI
is the maximum number of SPI processes that can run simultaneously within the
Pathway subsystem.
The value must be a number from 1 to 100. (Until the Pathway subsystem is started,
only one SPI process or PATHCOM process at a time can open communication
with the PATHMON process.) If you do not assign a value to this field, then the
default is 1. For other limits, see “Configuration Limits and Defaults” (page 372).
