4 CLIM Software Compatibility Matrix
The table in this chapter provides the compatibility of CLIM DVDs and NonStop RVUs for current
versions as well as future versions of each RVU. Use the matrix as a guideline for RVU upgrade
and downgrade, for adding CLIMs to an existing configuration, and for replacing CLIMs. In some
cases, downgrade to a previous RVU requires a downgrade to a previous CLIM DVD, which can
take an extended period of time. (Downgrade to a previous RVU means loading the NonStop
system on an earlier RVU. Downgrade to a previous CLIM DVD means reverting the CLIM software
to an earlier version. Downgrading a CLIM requires reimaging the CLIM.)
This table is ordered by SPRs and superseding TCFs. For example, AAW was released at
J06.09/H06.20, AAY was a superseding TCF for AAW so it follows AAW in the table. The last
TCF in the table supersedes the SPR associated with the RVU and all intermediate TCFs.
