--DISKFILE-PATTERN Feature in Safeguard Manuals--
The Safeguard Manuals documenting the new DISKFILE-PATTERN feature
released in the G06.25 NTL CDs and DVDs are incomplete. All references
to the DISKFILE-PATTERN feature in this version of the manuals should
be disregarded. The affected manuals are as follows:

These manuals will be completed and made available in the online
version of NTL upon release of the G06.25 RVU. Refer only to the
online version of the NTL Safeguard manuals for DISKFILE-PATTERN
feature documentation.
--DP2-New SETMODE Function--
DP2 has been enhanced with a new SETMODE function (function value 266)
which can be used to defer cache flushing when the file is closed by
the last opener. If param1 = 1, the file will be closed without first
flushing cache; flush will occur as a background activity. Flushing
will be interrupted if the file is re-opened. This function can only
be used when the file is opened with syncdepth > 0; the file can be
audited or non-audited. Setting param1 = 0 will revert to standard
default behavior, which is to flush all cache when the last close
occurs.
