o SAFEGUARD ENHANCEMENTS
Following are the new features in Safeguard:
Support for Safeguard attributes to be Reset:
* The super ID user, the owner of the user/alias,
and the owner's manager can reset the STATIC FAILED LOGON COUNT
and LASTUNSUCCESSFUL-ATTEMPT attributes at any time after the
creation of the user/alias.
* A new user/alias attribute, STATIC-FAILED-LOGON-RESET-TIME, is
introduced.
* The new RESET-STATIC-FAILED-LOGON-COUNT attribute resets the
value of STATIC FAILED LOGON COUNT to zero and
LAST-UNSUCCESSFUL-ATTEMPT to *NONE*.
* The following new SPI tokens are introduced:
- ZSFG-TKN-RESET-STATIC-FAILLOG, token type ZSPI-DDL-BOOLEAN.
- ZSFG-TKN-FAILLOGCOUNTRESETTIME, token type ZSPI-TYP-TIMESTAMP.
* A new field in the user profile subrecord "User_SubrecExt_1" is
introduced as part of the Safeguard audit record changes.
Logging in Without a Password:
* Users can now logon without a password using the PRIV-LOGON
feature, which provides a mechanism whereby applications that
invoke the USER_AUTHENTICATE_() procedure to perform user/alias
logons can do so without specifying a password. This feature
introduces the following changes:
- A new bit, bit #2, PRIV-LOGON, is added to the options
parameter of the USER_AUTHENTICATE procedure call.
- A new Safeguard disk file attribute, PRIV-LOGON, is added for
the executable disk files under Safeguard protection.
- The SAFECOM commands ADD, ALTER, INFO, SET, and SHOW support
the new PRIV-LOGON disk file attribute.
* The following new attributes have been added for disk files
