Improved Co-ordination with SEEPs for Password Change
Requests:
Safeguard is enhanced to evaluate password change
requests before sending the password events to
PASSWORD-QUALITY-SEEP. This enhancement eliminates the
inconsistencies between the
Safeguard password history database and the SEEP
password history database.
Improved OSS Auditing:
Safeguard now provides more control over OSS auditing.
Previously, OSS auditing was controlled by
the AUDIT-CLIENT-OSS global attribute. Safeguard now
uses the following existing attributes to
control the OSS auditing activities:
* AUDIT-USER-ACTION-PASS
* AUDIT-USER-ACTION-FAIL
These attributes provide more control over the level of
detail included in the audit. Previously, these
attributes were applicable only to the Guardian
environment. Use of these attributes is optional and is
controlled by the new attribute AUDIT-OSS-FILTER. The
default value of this attribute is OFF.
Information Added to the Authentication Record:
The CREATION-TIMESTAMP and CREATOR information is now
included in the user/alias/group
authentication record.
Enhanced OBJECT-TEXT-DESCRIPTION Field Support:
Safeguard now supports the OBJECT-TEXT-DESCRIPTION
field in the authorization records
of the following objects:
* Disk files
* Disk volumes
* Disk subvolumes
* Devices
* Subdevices
* Processes
