1.1 The H06.03 Release Version Update (RVU)

All products carried forward from G

-series RVUs are required to

contain functions and defect repair equivalent to that which were

delivered in G06.25. Individual products might have included

functions or defect repair above that minimum level. All such

differences are documented in the New Features and Problems

Corrected sections in the relevant softdocs.

For more information on new features and migration

considerations, please see the H06.03 Release Version Update

Compendium and the Interactive Upgrade Guide 2 (IUG2) in the

NonStop Technical Library (NTL). The IUG2 covers migration issues

and new features for G06.25, G06.26, and H06.03 participating

products. The H06.03 Release Version Update Compendium contains

product information about new features only available for H-series.

Page 5 of 12 3.4 Slice Reset ----------------After a SLICE RESET, do not take a dump of that slice before the processing elements come back to Primitive State. Doing the RCVDUMP file, cpu#, PARALLEL, SLICE A/B/C after the slice has been reset can cause a %103472 halt. In addition, the slice reset clears out the data in memory and a dump will not contain useful information. If you do have to take a dump, ensure that the processing element is in the proper state.

Page 6 of 12 3.9 SQL/MX Query Execution ----------------------------An SQL/MX query in an application program fails to execute properly when the PROTOTYPE clause is used to specify a table name. The symptom is either an error that says the target SQL/MP or SQL/MX table is unavailable, or the query might incorrectly access the table specified in the PROTOTYPE clause when the query was compiled. In the latter case, the error that occurs depends on the application and the table being used.

Page 8 of 12 to the ME on the X fabric, then open the CLCI and CNSL windows on the Y fabric. 4.0 APPLICATIONS and COMPILERS FOR H06.03 4.1 Compilers Not Available ----------------------------Cross-compilers are not available to build code on an Integrity NonStop NS-series Server for use on a TNS/R platform. 4.2 TNS for OSS -----------------The TNS compilers and utilities are available only for the Guardian environment. They are not available for the OSS environment.

For more information, see the H-Series Application Migration Guide. 4.5 OCA and Inherit Warning Messages ------------------------------------In the OCA program, sometimes false or inherit warning messages can appear.

Page 10 of 12 5.2 TCP/IPv6 Subsystem -----------------------At system startup time, if a SUBNET is started on a link pulse that is either downed or failed, some connections might fail because of the unstable interface. To recover, abort the route, and check cable connections. Note that the normal procedure is to first verify the link pulse before starting the SUBNET. 5.

Use the OSM Service Connection Slice Reset Action to Reset the slice. In table 1-3, on page 1-13, the SPR for I0630 should not be AAF. See 2.4 in this README for more information on firmware SPRs delivered on the SUT.
