OSM Server-Based Components
For H06.05, the server-based OSM SPR is T0682 H02^AAN. Highlights for OSM
support of Integrity NonStop NS-series servers include:
Guided procedures for replacing processor switch and IOAM components. OSM
also provides documented service procedures for replacing Fibre Channel disk
module (FCDM), NonStop Blade Element, and LSU components.
Firmware updates for:
°
NonStop Blade Element (firmware update guided procedure located under
Blade Complex object in the OSM Service Connection)
°
Maintenance Entity (ME) firmware on ServerNet Switch Boards, located in both
processor switches and IOAMs
°
Fibre Channel ServerNet adapter (FCSA)
°
Gigabit 4-port ServerNet adapter (G4SA), located under the G4SA SAC object
°
Fibre Channel disk drives and Environmental Monitoring Units (EMUs), located
within FCDMs
°
SWAN CLIPs
°
Legacy S-series components supported in H-series RVUs
Support for using HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM) to help monitor your Integrity
NonStop NS-series servers, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which is required for
HP SIM support. To install HP SIM, see the NonStop System Console Installer
Guide. To enable SSL, see the OSM Migration Guide.
For more information on configuring and getting started with OSM, see the OSM
Migration Guide.
OSM Client-Based Components
Like other system console software, the OSM client-based components are dual-
threaded; that is, they support both G-Series and H-series RVUs. For H06.05, the
OSM SPRs are:
T0632G06^AAO (OSM Notification Director)
T0633G06^AAM (OSM Low-Level Link)
T0634G06^AAJ (OSM Console Tools)
Highlights include:
While dual-threaded, the OSM Low-Level Link has functionality specific to modular I/O
and Integrity NonStop NS-series systems, including:
