The reload fails.

CONDITIONS:

This problem might occur when the diver/reload of processors is

under heavy stress.

LIKELIHOOD:

Likely to occur under heavy stress and the processors are

diver/reloaded.

DIRECT IMPACT:

The reload fails.

SIDE-EFFECTS:

None.

WORKAROUND / RECOVERY:

Diver/reload a processor which is the highest numbered LID in a

complex.

o Complex Manager AP (CMAP, T0777)

SYMPTOMS:

OSM alarm is not cleared after a blade reset.

CONDITIONS:

This problem might occur when a blade is reset.

LIKELIHOOD:

Likely, when a blade is reset.

CONDITIONS: This problem might occur when two strands are miscabled to LSUs on a running system. LIKELIHOOD: Very likely, when more than one strand is miscabled. DIRECT IMPACT: Processor halt SIDE-EFFECTS: None. WORKAROUND: Correct the cabling problem and reload the processor.

Page 3 of 6 o LD NATIVE PIC LINKER (T0429) Solution 10-040311-4030 SYMPTOMS: Linking fails because it links to a wrong file. CONDITIONS: The problem occurs when the file is specified without its (relative or absolute) path and another file with the same first 8 characters exists in the cold load SYSnn volume. LIKELIHOOD: Rare, because a file with a name that has the same first 8 characters has to exist on the SYSnn subvolume for the problem to occur. DIRECT IMPACT: The linking step fails.

Page 4 of 6 CONDITIONS: This problem might occur only if ALL the conditions listed below are met: 1. The 'su' utility is used with the -f option. 2. A command or a script is passed to 'su' using the -c option. 3. The switchuser is successful. 4. After the switchuser, a command expecting standard input from the keyboard is executed. 5. All the above mentioned steps happen in a shell script. LIKELIHOOD: Unlikely DIRECT IMPACT: None SIDE-EFFECTS: None WORKAROUND: Use 'su' without the -f option.
