H06.06 ReadMe

As of H06.06, NonStop Open System Services (OSS) supports files
larger than the previous limit of approximately 2 gigabytes (GB)
in the OSS file system, DP2, C run-time library, C++ run-time library,
COBOL run-time library, and the OSS utilities. The OSS file system and
utilities can handle OSS files up to a limit of 1 terabyte, although
the upper limit of the actual file size depends on the size of the
volume containing the file.
For migration and fallback considerations, see the H06.06 Software
Installation and Upgrade Guide and the H06.06 Release Version Update
Compendium.
o If you are migrating from H06.03 or H06.04 to a subsequent RVU,
you must power cycle all processors after a firmware update. If you
are migrating from H06.05, the power cycle is not needed. See the
H06.06 Software Installation and Upgrade Guide for details.
o The DSM/SCM and the H06.06 Software Installation and Upgrade Guide
have conflicting information regarding whether firmware updates are
to be performed before or after the system load. The recommended
order is documented in the H06.06 Software Installation and Upgrade
Guide, and you should perform the system load before updating
firmware with OSM.
