HP Integrity NonStop NS16200 Server
The HP Integrity NonStop NS16200 server is introduced in the H06.11.02 RVU. It provides the
same functionality as a NonStop NS16000 server with improved system performance.
The NonStop NS16200 server includes standard Intel Itanium microprocessors.
For more information, see the NonStop NS16000-Series Planning Guide.
Migration
The NonStop NS16200 server is introduced and supported at the H06.11.02 and later RVUs.
The processor type for the NonStop NS16200 server is NSE-T.
Upgrade Considerations
All NonStop Blade Elements (NSBEs) in a NonStop Blade Complex must have the same
number and type of microprocessors.
NSE-T and NSE-A Blade Complexes can co-exist in the same system if the H06.11.02 (or
later) RVU is installed.
An NSE-T Blade Complex can be added online to an existing system if the H06.11.02 (or
later) RVU is installed.
No changes to the CONFTEXT file are required.
For information on upgrading to a NonStop NS16200 server, authorized service providers can
see the Support and Service collection in NTL (navigate to Service Procedures > NonStop NS-Series
Hardware.)
SCSI Tape Drives
The HP N1528A and N1529A LTO generation 3 tape drives replace the N1526A and N1527A
ACL LTO generation 2 tape drives, respectively. These auto cartridge loader (ACL) SCSI tape
drives are available in rackmount (N1528A) or tabletop (N1529A) configurations. For more
information, see the N1528A and N1529A ACL Tape Drive Installation and User's Guide.
