Using SCF Commands to Aid in Updating SWAN CLIP Firmware

To List the Names of the SWAN Concentrators and CLIPs

Use the SCF NAMES ADAPTER command:

4> scf names adapter $zzwan.#*

SCF - T9082G02 - (16OCT98) (25SEP98) - 09/08/1999 15:53:26 System \ELI

WANMgr Names ADAPTER $ZZWAN.#*

ADAPTER

$ZZWAN.#S00

$ZZWAN.#S01

To Check Location and Version of New SWAN CLIP Firmware

At a TACL prompt, enter the VPROC command:

TACL>VPROC $SYSTEM.CSSnn.C7953P00

where nn is the number specified during the Build/Apply phase of installing the H06.03 RVU:

• Use the SCF STATUS SERVER $ZZWAN.#conc-name.clip-num, DETAIL command. For

example:

$SYSTEM ZWANTOOL 14> scf status server $zzwan.#s01.3, detail

• Or, use the WANLNCK utility (part of the SWAN Tools product placed in the ZWANTOOL

subvolume in H-series RVUs). A DEVICE must be configured and in the STARTED state

on the CLIP for this purpose. For example:

$SYSTEM ZWANTOOL 12> run wanlnck line $x25131,diag $system.css04.d8155p00

To Stop the CLIPs

Use the SCF STOP ADAPTER command:

5> SCF STOP ADAPTER $ZZWAN.#S01, SUB ALL

To Verify That CLIPs Are Stopped

Use the SCF STATUS SERVER command:

2-> status server $zzwan.#s01.*

WAN Manager STATUS SERVER for CLIP \ELI.$ZZWAN.#S01.1

State :......... STOPPED
