Internet Protocol CLuster I/O Module (IP CLIM) Support
The Internet Protocol (IP) CLuster I/O Module (CLIM) is a new, rack-mounted server that provides
Ethernet connectivity between a NonStop host system running the Cluster I/O Protocols (CIP)
subsystem and networks (private and public). For H06.16, the IP CLIM is supported on NonStop
NS16000 series servers.
The IP CLIM provides Ethernet connectivity to the network and offloads some of the IP protocol
processing previously done in the NonStop host system. The IP CLIM supports SWAN and
SWAN 2 controllers.
For more information about:
the CLIM, see the HP NonStop NS16000 Series Planning Guide.
the CIP subsystem, see the Cluster I/O Protocols (CIP) Configuration and Management Manual.
