This guide describes:
Upgrading the initial H06.21 RVU through the use of site update tape (SUT) refreshes, if
necessary.
Falling back to a previous SYSnn.

Supported Release Version Updates (RVUs)
This manual supports the H06.21.00 RVU and all subsequent H06.21.nn RVUs unless otherwise
noted. Exceptions are described in the text.
Intended Audience
This guide is written for operations staff and support personnel and requires a working knowledge
of Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, HP NonStop Open System Management
(OSM) Interface client and server components, system console software, NonStop Software
Essentials, DSM/SCM, Target Interface (ZPHITI), and ZPHIRNM applications.
New and Changed Information in This Edition
This edition includes these changes:
Added references to Support Note SN 12023 (OSM application issues with Administrator
user on NSC).
Support for the DHCP DNS configuration wizard.
Support for NonStop Software Essentials.
Changes to privilege requirements for running SSOCLIM after RVU and CLIM fallback.

The 627138-007 edition contained the following changes:
The pre-installation steps from “Preparing to Upgrade the Server Software (Pre-installation
Tasks)” (page 66) were added to the Table 9 (page 63).
The spooler backup command was changed in “Back Up Spooler Control files” (page 66)
and “Back Up the Spooler Control Files” (page 108).
The PORTCONF file was corrected to show port 7 for the echoserv entry in “Step 3: Ensure
That PORTCONF and SERVICES Files Are Complete” (page 123).
The maintenance-provider CLIMs information was changed in “In the Halted State, Prepare
the CLIMs” (page 141).
