H06.21 Software Installation and Upgrade Guide

The 627138-006 contained the following changes:
Introductory microcode and firmware information in “Managing Microcode and Firmware”
(page 25) has been updated to reference the NonStop Firmware Matrices for compatible
firmware versions.
“Managing CLIM Firmware” (page 35) is updated to reference the NonStop Firmware Matrices
for compatible firmware on CLIM components and to use the Cluster I/O Protocols (CIP)
Configuration and Management Manual for upgrade instructions.
Additional information about USERID attributes for persistent processes has been added to
“DSM/SCM Upgrade Issues/Interoperability SPR Requirements” (page 59) in “H06.18”
(page 59) of Chapter 3.
The 627138-005 contained the following changes:
“Re-configure iTP Webserver” (page 125) was added to “Upgrade Checklist (page 63) as a
requirement if iTP Webserver was installed prior to an RVU upgrade.
“Re-deploy NonStop SOAP 4” (page 126) was added to “Upgrade Checklist (page 63) as a
requirement if NonStop SOAP 4 was installed prior to an RVU upgrade.
The T9050AQM fallback SPR was changed to T9053AQM in Table 10 (page 65).
The 627138-004 edition contained a change to Step 3 in “Complete CLIM Setup” (page 145) for
the need to reboot Storage CLIMs after executing the clearlog command.
The 627138-003 edition contained these changes:
“Check or Alter the CONFTEXT File Before Installing This RVU SUT ” (page 22) is updated to
reference the J06.nn Software Installation and Update Guide for NonStop NS2000 systems.
“Managing SWAN and SWAN 2 Concentrator Firmware” (page 35) is updated to reference
either the SWAN Concentrator Installation and Support Guide or the SWAN 2 Concentrator
Installation and Support Guide.
Duplicate information has been removed from “Installation, Migration, and Fallback
Considerations” (page 37).
“DSM Tape Catalog Migration (page 55) has been added to “H06.13” (page 55) in Chapter
3.
“Complete CLIM Setup” (page 145) is updated for falling back to either the H06.20 RVU or
the H06.19 RVU (or earlier RVUs.)
The 627138-002 edition was updated to reflect the new version of OSM Service Connection being
released with the RVU. In addition, OSM versions now indicate that they are the minimum level
as a subsequent SPR might also be compatible with this RVU.
