• If you upgrade from G5 to G6 Storage CLIMs and keep the M8390-12 CG disk enclosure,
you must purchase new SAS cables.
• Daisy chaining is not supported for new devices. If users move storage devices from G5 to
G6 CLIMs, they must reconfigure them without daisy chaining.
Fallback Considerations
The new devices require H06.17. If you must fall back to an earlier RVU, you cannot use G6 CLIMs
or new devices. If you do not have the SPR to support the G6 CLIM, the system cannot support the
G6 CLIM.
