Expand Auto Rebalance Control Option
This enhancement is implemented to manage auto-rebalance triggered when a path experiences
transient failure. This inadvertent rebalance causes duplication of messages while they are being
processed by the remote application. To circumvent the situation and control initiation of the
rebalance, a new modifier REBALTHRESHOLD is introduced, which defines the optimal threshold
time below which NCP would not initiate rebalance. Default value for REBALTHRESHOLD is set
to zero.
Migration Considerations
Use updated NCP profiles for handling rebalance mechanism through REBALTHRESHOLD modifier.
Fallback Considerations
None.
iTP Secure WebServer 7.4 (iTPWS 7.4)
The iTP WebServer 7.4 (iTPWS 7.4) release includes the following key features:
Support for new Security Protocols
iTP WebServer 7.4 supports the Diffie-Hellman key exchange algorithm and TLS 1.2 security
protocols.
Ability to configure the name of iTP WebServer daemon
You can configure multiple daemons under the same PATHMON.
Configure maximum HTTP header size
You can use the HeaderFieldSize parameter to configure maximum header size.
Other Features
Supports REMOTE_PORT CGI additional environment variable: You can use this variable to
track the source of incoming requests.
Allows you to turn ON cookie information logging. This is compatible with Web traffic analysis
tools, such as Google Urchin.
Supports windows compliant log file format.
Migration Considerations
• Migrating from a previous RVU to an H06.26 RVU (which includes iTPWS 7.4) shall not
require WebServer customers to change their applications.
• The TLS 1.2 security protocol and Diffie-Hellman key exchange algorithm are enabled in
iTPWS 7.4 by default. If the client application supports these new protocols and key exchange
algorithms, iTPWS 7.4 provides preference to these stronger key exchange algorithms during
communication with the client.
• The keyadmin utility and iTPWS setup script now supports an additional option to generate
Diffie-Hellman parameters. Though not mandatory, HP recommends that System Administrators
generate the parameter file by using the keyadmin utility instead of the default parameters
provided by iTP Secure WebServer.
• You can notice a performance impact because of stronger security protocols and key exchange
algorithms.
