DSM/SCM and OSBUILD
If an H06.12 or later host system is used to perform DSM/SCM builds for a target system that is
running a release prior to H06.12, you must install the appropriate T0431 (OSBUILD) SPR for that
target system before performing the build. If this is not done, then the DSM/SCM Sysgen (OSBUILD)
will fail. The build will complete successfully if it is being done for an H06.12 or later system. See
“DSM/SCM and This RVU” (page 19) for a list of the required SPRs.

DSM Tape Catalog Migration
DSM/TC MEDIADBM no longer abends when processing the DSM/TC MEDIACOM RECOVER
DISKFILE command. You no longer have to SQL/MP compile your MEDIADBM files if the system
catalog is used. However, if you install the new DSM/TC products while the old version had its
configuration tables in a user SQL catalog, DSM/TC will not find the configuration tables.
To prevent this problem from occurring, after the upgrade, SQL/MP compile MEDIADBM, specifying
the previous user SQL catalog with the existing configuration tables. Then start to use the tape
catalogs.
DSM/TC MEDIACOM now supports media types DLTIII, DLTIV, CART9840, DDS, DDS2, DDS3,
CART3490, SDLT, LTO1, LTO2, and LTO3 in all the tapevolume and pool related commands.
These new tapevolume types are displayed in Mediacom, but might not be visible in the VOLUME
table, depending on whether or not the table is created with an older version of DSM/TC
MEDIADBM. For instance, a previously labeled DAT tape will appear in the output of INFO
TAPEVOLUME as “DAT”, while in the VOLUME table it appears as “CARTDAT”. If you want to use
the old tapevolumes, then the pool and tapevolumes should be newly specified. After you upgrade,
issue these commands:
ALTER POOL pool-name, …, TYPE ANY
ALTER TAPEVOLUME tape-name, POOL pool-name, …, TYPE type
ALTER POOL pool-name, …, TYPE type

Minimum SPR Levels Required for Clustering Software
In order to add a BladeSystem node to an existing ServerNet cluster having both S-series and
Modular nodes, the following minimum SPR levels are required for ServerNet Cluster Monitor
(SNETMON, T0294) and ServerNet Cluster Fabric Manager (SANMAN, T0502):

TS/MP 2.3 Migration Considerations
TS/MP 2.3 is introduced in the H06.14 RVU.
Default Change
In TS/MP 2.3, the default SECURITY attribute setting is changed from N (any local or remote user)
to O (owner only).
