DEBUGGERS (T1237 - NATIVE INSPECT and T9756 - VISUAL INSPECT)
SYMPTOM/PROBLEM:
In the J06.03 release of NonStop debuggers, the Memory Access Breakpoint
(MAB) feature, also known as "Data Breakpoint," might not work as expected.
Specifically, the access breakpoint might not be triggered even if the
targeted data/memory is accessed, because the underlying system event was
not reported to the debugger. As a result, the debugged program might
continue to run and not be stopped at the intended location when the
target address is accessed.
WORKAROUND:
Use instruction breakpoints, also known as "Code Breakpoints," on lines
in the source file where the data item of interest is accessed.
RECOVERY:
None required; use workaround as an alternative.
