Managing ServerNet Adapter Firmware
This manual covers only the ServerNet adapters supported on H06.14 and later RVUs:
• FCSA
• G4SA
• TRSA
• CCSA
To update firmware for ServerNet adapters connected to legacy IOMF2 CRUs, see the latest
G-series Software Installation and Upgrade Guide.
NOTE: Before connecting your system to a NonStop S-series system through legacy I/O, you
must first update the firmware for both the S-series G4SA and the FCSA. Firmware for both the
G4SA and FCSA adapters used for S-series systems is not initially compatible with NonStop
BladeSystems.
If you have a NonStop S-series system that is connected to your system through Expand or ServerNet
Clusters, you do not need to initialize the G4SA or FCSA firmware.
To find out if your system supports connectivity to NonStop S-series systems, see the planning guide
for your system.
To see if the ServerNet adapter firmware needs to be updated, navigate down the OSM tree pane
for FCSA, G4SA and TRSA:
CAUTION: Ensure that the system is running the new RVU before starting this procedure.
