OSM Enhancements
OSM Service Connection
OSM Service Connection supports these new features:
• Support for HP Integrity NonStop NS2000 servers.
• A new guided procedure, the OSM Data Sanitization Guided Procedure, which provides a
simple and secure method for erasing all data from disk drives that are to be retired from
service. The procedure can be used to sanitize any SCSI, FC, SAS, or CLIM-attached disks.
OSM Low-Level Link
OSM Low-Level Link supports these new features:
• Enhanced Configure Module action to support HP Integrity NonStop NS2000 servers.
• CLIM preparation support now includes INS Software Update, which is used for Telco
CLIMs only.
Measure Enhancements
New Counters for AF_UNIX R2 Support
Measure supports AF_UNIX by adding new counters to the OSSCPU entity to reflect Local Server
2 activity. Local Server 2 replaces the NonStop Local Server process. Local Server 2 is a group of
processes that handle all local OSS socket operations. Local Server 2 takes over much of the
AF_UNIX function handled by the Transport Agent. The Transport Agent still exists primarily
for legacy AF_INET functions.
Limits Will Increase as New Features Become Available
Beginning with the J06.06 RVU, Measure will support higher limits for new features as the
features become available. This change will:
• Enable MEASFH to produce large structured files derived from large measurement data
files
• Relieve internal MEASCOM stack/memory limits and improve performance
• Increase limits on MEASCTL CID table size and resulting counter space
