NonStop NS2000 Server Introduced
Introduced with RVU J06.06 is a new NS2000 family of HP Integrity NonStop entry-class servers
based on the NonStop multi-core J-series operating system. The NS2000 family consists of three
new platforms: the NS2000, NS2000T, and NS2000ST. The NS2000 is an AC-powered server
packaged in a standard commercial rack. The NS2000T comes in a commercial rack; in addition,
it is DC-powered (-48V) rather than AC-powered. The NS2000ST is packaged in an extra sturdy
seismic rack and is also DC-powered (-48V). The HP Integrity NonStop NS2000 family of servers
is all powered by the dual-core Intel® Itanium® Processor 9100 series processors.
All of the NS2000 platforms are available in bundled configurations of two processors or four
processors with either 8 GB or 16 GB of memory. They support Ethernet (via VIO), storage CLIMs,
IP CLIMS, Telco M3UA CLIMs, XP Disk Arrays, VTS, and physical tape. The NS2000 and NS2000T
are available in both 42U and 36U cabinets. The NS2000ST is available in a 36U seismic cabinet.
Clustering via Expand-over IP is supported on the NS2000 platforms.
