• The command syntax for stopping TMF in the Alerts section of Chapter 13: “Falling Back on
the CLIMs, Loading the Previous RVU, and Resuming Normal Operations ” (page 108) was
corrected.
• A note was added to “Reimage the CLIMs” (page 113).
• A note was added to the CLIMRSTR step of “Complete CLIM Setup” (page 125).
• The order of steps for resetting and starting the disks changed in “Complete CLIM Setup”
(page 125) for the case of no LUNs started during the CLIM reboot (step 3d).
The 538129-006 edition contained these changes:
• Duplicate information was removed from “J06.07” (page 34).
• Step 3 in “Complete CLIM Setup” (page 125) was revised to include the need for rebooting
Storage CLIMs after executing the clearlog command and step 4 was added.
The 538129-005 edition contained a change to the privileges required for running SSOCLIM. See
“Complete CLIM Setup” (page 125).
The 538129–004 edition contained these changes:
• “Managing SWAN and SWAN 2 Concentrator Firmware” (page 29) was updated to reference
either the SWAN Concentrator Installation and Support Guide or the SWAN 2 Concentrator
Installation and Support Guide.
• “DSM/SCM Upgrade Issues/Interoperability SPR Requirements” (page 35) and “CLIM”
(page 31) have been added to the J06.07 section in Chapter 3: “Installation, Migration, and
Fallback Considerations for This RVU” (page 31).
• In “Configure the WAN Manager” (page 98), references to either the SWAN Concentrator
Installation and Support Guide or the SWAN 2 Concentrator Installation and Support Guide
replaced procedures.
• In Appendix C: “Installing SWID and DSM/SCM PVU Using NonStop Software Essentials
Client Software ” (page 144), the Create an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD) or Automated System
Recovery (ASR) Disk section was deleted.
• In “Updating SWAN Concentrator CLIP Firmware” (page 165), the procedural information was
deleted and replaced with references to either the SWAN Concentrator Installation and Support
Guide or the SWAN 2 Concentrator Installation and Support Guide.
The 538129-003 edition contained this change: In “Managing Server Blade Firmware” (page 25),
NonStop NS2000 series servers information was added.
In the 538129-002 edition, these changes were made to clarify CLIM software upgrade:
• Chapter 3: “Installation, Migration, and Fallback Considerations for This RVU” (page 31) was
changed to correct the CLIM interoperability issues that apply to J06.05 and J06.06 and later
J-series RVUs.
• Chapter 4: “Upgrade Checklist” (page 36) was changed to eliminate a CLIM reboot step after
the software upgrade step because the reboot occurs during the software update procedure
itself and was therefore redundant as a separate step in the checklist. This section also mentions
that for J06.06 and later RVUs, the CLIMs can be updated online, in advance of the RVU
software installation, and that the steps must be performed in order. Finally, the contingency
that you may have already performed the CLIM software upgrade online before beginning
the RVU upgrade is accounted for in the steps.
• Chapter 4: “Upgrade Checklist” (page 36) was reorganized to make it clear that for an offline
upgrade of CLIMs, you perform the CLIM software upgrade while the processors are halted.
As part of this clarification, “4. Upgrade the CLIM Software” (page 87) was made into a
distinct step.
