Ethernet Patch Panel for CLIM Connections
HP offers Ethernet patch panel cable management products for IP and Telco CLIMs. The patch
panel simplifies and organizes the cabling connections of these CLIMs to enable easier access to
the CLIM customer-user interfaces and for making cabling changes when necessary. For more
information, have your service provider refer to the CLuster I/O Module (CLIM) Installation and
Configuration Guide.
New systems are shipped with the patch panel. A patch panel can also be added to existing
systems.

Telco CLIM on NS3000AC
Telco CLIMs are now supported on NonStop NS3000AC series servers. For more information,
have your service provider refer to the CLuster I/O Module (CLIM) Installation and Configuration
Guide.

Token-Ring and System Signaling Seven (SS7) Connectivity Supported on
NonStop BladeSystems
Token-Ring and System Signaling Seven (SS7) connectivity are supported on NonStop
BladeSystems. Up to four NonStop S-series I/O enclosures (via IOMF-2 CRUs) can be connected
to a BladeSystem (Group 100 c7000 enclosure only). When these enclosures are connected to the
BladeSystem (via port 3 of the c7000 ServerNet switch), no CLIMs can be connected to this port,
and any CLIMs using this port must be moved to another ServerNet switch port and reconfigured.
The supported NonStop S-series ServerNet adapters for I/O connections are the 6763 Common
Communications ServerNet Adapter 2 (CCSA-2) and Token-Ring ServerNet Adapters (TRSAs).
CCSA-2s and TRSAs can co-exist in the same S-series I/O enclosure. No other NonStop S-series
ServerNet adapters are supported on NonStop BladeSystems.
